Senior Solutions Engineer, Advanced Solutions Group — SHI International Corp.
I've spent 30+ years in technology — including 25 years at Citi — from racking servers in datacenters to deploying GPU clusters for AI workloads at one of the world's largest banks. I don't theorize about technology. I build it, break it, and ship it.
In September 2026 I closed the Citi chapter and joined SHI International Corp. as a Senior Solutions Engineer in the Advanced Solutions Group. A career spent evaluating vendors, running the environment, and owning the outcomes now informs how I help customers get AI and infrastructure decisions right.
Outside of work, I stay hands-on by independently architecting and building AI systems. The main one is MoeCloud, an independently built AI-native operations platform where specialized agents coordinate real business processes while people keep approvals, judgment, and exceptions — governed with tenant isolation, human oversight, authority limits, kill switches, and auditability, the same controls I would expect of any system running in production. It's my own — independently owned, funded, and built, separate from my employer. The case study covers the architecture and controls. Earlier efforts — SimpliInvest, an AI-assisted educational tool for first-time investors, and the Blockchain AI Foundation, which I co-founded — still inform how I evaluate emerging technology.
I'm a proud Hispanic technology leader, and a lot of what I care about sits outside the job description: making complex technology understandable, and showing people what a path into technology leadership actually looks like. Through HISPA I've presented to students across New Jersey school districts, and I mentor emerging technologists on career strategy and the disciplined execution that separates ideas from shipped work.

Engineering Roots
Started in hardware engineering and datacenter operations. Built the foundation — hands-on, physical infrastructure, understanding compute from the metal up.
Citi VP — Global Hardware
Led global hardware and engineered systems at Citi. Managed cross-continent teams, vendor relationships with Dell/HPE/Lenovo, and large-scale deployments.
SVP — Next-Gen Compute
Promoted to SVP overseeing next-generation compute, HPC, and liquid cooling initiatives — modernizing global compute environments and integrating accelerated-computing platforms for real-time analytics.
AI/ML & Builder Era
Integrated GPU/AI/ML platforms, Azure AI, and OpenAI into enterprise workflows. Founded MoeCloud Group — an independently built AI-native operations platform — alongside SimpliInvest and co-founding the Blockchain AI Foundation.
Closing the Citi Chapter
Completed a 25-year career at Citi leading global next-generation technology engineering — AI infrastructure, accelerated computing, governance, and resilience. Along the way: service on the Dell, HPE, Lenovo, and Cisco technology advisory councils, panels at HPE/NVIDIA and Intel/Lenovo events in New York, and volunteer HISPA technology presentations across New Jersey school districts.
SHI International — Advanced Solutions Group
Senior Solutions Engineer in SHI's Advanced Solutions Group, helping enterprise customers engineer AI, accelerated computing, and modern infrastructure with the perspective of someone who spent a career as the customer. The building stays hands-on, and emerging areas such as tokenization and quantum still get weighed by one question: what can responsibly reach production.
